Fundamentals of Acting for Adults – Theatre Workshop

Adult Theatre Workshop Open to Ages 18 and Up (all experience levels welcome)

6-week course starting on January 12th, 2026
Mondays 5:30-7:30 pm

This workshop is for anyone who would like to explore the craft of performance, whether they are interested in learning the fundamentals of acting for the stage, hoping to overcome stage fright, or to enhance their communication and presentation skills for work and life.

Each week we will begin with warm-up activities including orientation games and theatre techniques such as vocal and physical exercises. Then the focus will shift to various aspects of performance which will change each week and build upon prior knowledge learned.

This workshop will explore the following building blocks of theatre making:
Presence and filling the space
Self discovery and exploration
Creating and engaging with an ensemble
Character development
Relationships between players and the audience
Physical storytelling
Interaction and use of theatrical implements
Participants will gain performance skills and experience in a safe and encouraging environment.

Investment: $150 per student for the full six-week workshop
