Healthy Kids Day Event: Sturgeon Bay YMCA

Join Sturgeon Bay YMCA on May 3rd, from 10am – 1 pm to celebrate Healthy Kids Day!

The Door County YMCA will join more than 1700 YMCAs and over half a million people for the nation’s largest health fair for kids. YMCA Healthy Kids Day is a FREE, fun-filled day of activities designed to promote healthy children and families in spirit, mind and body. The event celebrates making fitness fun and introduces kids to an array of YMCA programs that teach healthy behaviors. In addition, informational booths provided by various community businesses and programs serve as an opportunity for parents to increase their awareness and learn more about all of the resources in the area available to children and families.

One of the goals of this event is to create an interactive experience for our vendors and families attending the event. Typically vendors provide information via handouts and or a hands-on activity, demonstration, or a screening. We would like each vendor to host an activity or demonstration at their booth so the kids can be active while parents are given the opportunity to learn about the services you provide to the area. If you do not have an activity or demonstration in mind, the Y would be happy to assist in creating a fun activity for the kids and you can simply bring information or displays pertaining to your organization.

Healthy Kids Day is open to all kinds of exhibitors, both public and private, as long as you believe in the health and well-being of children and families. This event has averaged about 500 participants between both locations and over two dozen exhibitors in the past. If you are unable to attend the event, but would still like to support Healthy Kids Day, donations of food or drinks are always appreciated.
