They All Had Names: A Civil War Musical

In partnership with the Door County Library- Sturgeon Bay, Larry Desotell and Rich Wolter present They All Had Names: A Civil War Musical.
The free performance will take place at the Sturgeon Bay Library at 107 4th Ave, at 2 pm on December 6, the 160th anniversary of the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment which abolished slavery.
They All Had Names follows Union soldiers, Confederate prisoners and an enslaved person who interacted at Camp Randall in the spring of 1862, as well as their modern ancestors who met at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison. The music and script will deal with such topics as the nature of freedom, the human cost of war, and the experiences of both prisoners and their guards – and how those experiences are viewed in modern times.
