Door Shakespeare

On the banks of Lake Michigan, under a magnificent maple tree, people of all ages gather to enjoy the works of William Shakespeare. Join us as some of the finest performing artists across the region come together to share these timeless stories with you. “A top ten Theatrical experience” you will remember for years to come. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel). Summer Season: June through August. Year-round: readings, educational experiences, and virtual content. A number of Door Shakespeare performances feature pre-show lectures and family activities, including Will In The Woods and Shake It Up Saturdays, as well as our very popular Wine Nights. Refreshments are available at every performance. Door Shakespeare’s youth theatre program, Camp Will, offers three one-week sessions (Monday – Friday) led by members of our Acting Company. Over the course of five days, students are introduced to the world, stories and characters of William Shakespeare through a combination of theatre games, exercises, activities, and word play. The week culminates in a sharing of the fruits of their labor — on the same stage where the productions are presented.
