STURGEON BAY IS OPEN ALL FOUR SEASONS!
As the Winter Fleet departs, we look forward to Blossom Time in Sturgeon Bay…we will soon be enjoying the ever-popular cherry and apple blossoms, but it will also be the time for all of the beautiful daffodils, tulips, lilacs, and other spring flowers! The birds have already returned and now we wake up to their songs. As early as late April, the cherry trees will—slowly, carefully—begin to bloom. There are lots of activities to enjoy as Sturgeon Bay comes alive with Spring Blossoms!!
If you love the cherry blossoms, you’ll want to consult DDC’s Cherry Blossom Report to make sure you don’t miss any part of the cherry season.
Apple and Cherry trees will soon be in bloom at Sturgeon Bay orchards:
Meleddy Cherry Orchard – 1038 Mill Road, Sturgeon Bay
Robertson Orchards of Door County – 2575 S. Shiloh Road, Sturgeon Bay
Soren’s Valhalla Orchards – 6491 County Road J, Sturgeon Bay
One of our top highlights is to visit Door County Maritime Museum where Great Lakes maritime history comes alive! The Jim Kress Maritime Lighthouse Tower is open with exhibits on 8 floors and great views of Sturgeon Bay!
Check out Cave Point County Park, perhaps the most iconic natural landscape of Door County.
Bike on trails or wander through Potawatomi or Whitefish Dunes State Parks.
Take a stroll around the waterfront, and go on one of our beautiful “Bridge Walks.” We’ve got a 3-mile or a 1.2-mile route option as you take in the wide-open spaces that Sturgeon Bay has to offer.
Visit the U.S. Coast Guard Canal Station and stop at lookout points for views of the canal, get an up-close look at 2 of our lighthouses, including the North Pierhead, also known as “Big Red”, one of the most photographed lighthouses in Door County.
Schedule a guided fishing charter with one of our local captains.
We are in the office and ready to help you plan your visit. Please call (920) 743-6246 Monday-Friday 9 am – 4 pm or email us at vacation@sturgeonbay.net. Request one of our free 2023 activity guides!
Many businesses are understaffed. Please be patient and be kind. Thanks for loving Sturgeon Bay as much as we do!
