Steel Bridge Creative Foundation

‘Steel Bridge Creative Foundation’ is a not-for-profit (501(c)3) organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and supporting the nationally significant historic Sturgeon Bay (Michigan Street) Bridge (a Door County Veterans Memorial) and the Historic Downtown District located in Sturgeon Bay, Door County, Wisconsin, while stimulating and fostering the Sturgeon Bay collaborative music and arts scene through community outreach, education, and creative events. Since its inception, SBCF has produced nearly 40 collaborative songwriting events resulting in the creation of over 1500 original songs, thrown a multitude of city-wide music festivals–Steel Bridge Songfest, Dark Songs, Love On Holiday–bringing 1000s of art and music lovers into the community while, in tandem, using many of those events as a vehicle to celebrate and raise awareness of significant local historic preservation efforts, created their own radio station (Steel Bridge Radio) to broadcast original works created at their events, hosted dozens of original house concerts, 100s of open mics and provided affordable work/studio space to local independent artists.
